Oh, it's nice to hear I'm not the only one having ShoutCast streaming problems. My Audacious 1.5.1 on Ubuntu 9.04 is working fine, except that ShoutCast streams (MP3-type) don't start playing. I don't think it's a network problem, as other formats (e.g. ASX) work in the mplayer plugin for Epiphany. Where to start looking for the problem...? I guess a WireShark trace is in order to confirm the network parts are okay. *shrug*

I'm having a bit of denial moment with Audacious 1.5.1 on Ubuntu 9.04.

It looks like Winamp 2. It near as dammit *is* winamp2. Oh my God. I've got a player I can actually work with again that actually understands people who want to organise their own music collection and maybe quickly pick an album to listen to or skip about. No messing about with 'play/not play' (iTunes I'm looking at you). No assuming everyone wants to have a big folder full of music looked after by the app. Yes. YES. YESSSS! I have a functioning music player for the first time in years.

Oh. They seem to have broken the ability to listen to Soma's shoutcasts. (aacplus and mp3)

Maybe they'll fix their otherwise excellent player soon...

Hi Steve,

Well the .pmp on the psp vs COWON O2 Native Video playback: by that I'm guessingand correct me if I'm misinterpereting here, by all means, that you are referring to:
1) ORIGINAL size = NATIVE video playback and
2) .pmp on the psp = either a real Sony PlayStationPortable, or
3) the psp profile used to transcode (reduce) the video to the O2's native screen resolution of 480x272 pixels.

I'm going to do a quality test and report back as I've only had experience watching scenario (3) so far on my O2, and will have to defer (semi) permanently scenario (2) unless one of two of my friends still have their PSP's. I'll do the research, though, and report back because it's A REALLY GOOD QUESTION and is tickling my brain since I woke up here at 05:23 am in slightly drizzled Silicon Valley, California!! :-)

THANKY THANKY for giving me a brain teaser and a bit of a project to pass some time and a reason to call up some pals! + activity ideas. Sweet!

Best in Any Manner Of Video to You!
