My eye is atwinkle with the idea of a next-generation editor for KOffice. Not even ready for KOffice 3.x, I’m talking KOffice-NG, with an editor that takes the Best of ShowFoto, digiKam, Krita, Karbon14, etc, and makes a baseline package to edit files with Modular Plugins that are you know, plugins as application entities. Sort of an a la carte KOffice built in the ethic of Firefox…

I found an exceptional new (to me) tool called digiKam (the 9.x series) on Gentoo Linux, KDE 3.5 libs, using QTCurve under Xfce, look into editing a photo, selecting a defect, and using the Enhance > Inpainting tool … it’s the ultimate DustBuster!!!
