My eye is atwinkle with the idea of a next-generation editor for KOffice. Not even ready for KOffice 3.x, I’m talking KOffice-NG, with an editor that takes the Best of ShowFoto, digiKam, Krita, Karbon14, etc, and makes a baseline package to edit files with Modular Plugins that are you know, plugins as application entities. Sort of an a la carte KOffice built in the ethic of Firefox…

Scanografie is a term I’m coining to mean the use of a scanner/copier as the primary photomechanical implement used toward the expression of an artistic ideal.
